The How of Creative Work

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH

In an industry that favors excellent output and creative genius over almost anything, are we talking enough about how we do things? Drawing from sixteen years building FIELD.IO from two founders to 25+ team members and leadership experience at Loop Earplugs, Vera-Maria Glahn argues we're not. While the creative industry celebrates the what—award-winning work, innovative outputs, breakthrough ideas—it rarely examines the how: the methods, processes, and leadership approaches that enable great work to happen sustainably. Through candid stories from scaling creative studios, navigating rapid growth, and supporting diverse teams, Vera explores soft leadership as strategic advantage: how empathy, clarity, and healthy structures unlock better work, stronger teams, and more sustainable creative businesses. For founders, creative leaders, and anyone building creative organizations, this talk offers practical frameworks for professionalizing without losing soul—proving that how we work matters as much as what we create.
