Lorenzo Levrero NERDO

Co-Founder & Creative Director

THE SPEAKER

Lorenzo Levrero is Co-Founder & Creative Director of NERDO, international award-winning creative-driven studio founded 2009. Directed scores of projects over 15+ years, driven by spirit of rebellion and desire to create raw, unfiltered work that breaks stereotypes and conventional rhetoric.

Creative approach shaped by diverse, often-conflicting influences: Bauhaus, mixed media, typography, low-fi computer graphics, vaporwave, new wave, anti-design, brutalism, deconstructivism, plus fashion, architecture, paintings, and nature. Colors and framing crucial in process—fascinated by ways visuals stir senses and convey meaning beyond literal depiction. Early days marked by punk, glam, and metal music ethos, manifesting in small but powerful rebellious acts. Philosophy: there's always way to smash through stereotype and create something authentic, even when landscape appears immovable. Co-creator of We 🖤 Pitching, international open-source initiative protecting creative work and restoring dignity to creative professionals through ethical practices, fair compensation, and sustainable working conditions.

Weird To Say Out Loud, Right?

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH

What if protecting creative work wasn't about legal battles, but about changing culture itself? Lorenzo Levrero presents We 🖤 Pitching, international initiative aimed at restoring dignity to creative professionals through open-source movement mindset.

Developed with support from professionals across industry, initiative represents statement of intent—open manifesto against unfair pitches, impossible deadlines, and devaluation of ideas. In recent years, values like collaboration, transparency, fair pay, and sustainable timelines have somewhat... well, "faded." Goal: promote culture of respect in creative work by involving clients, agencies, studios, freelancers, and students, providing ethical, practical, easily shareable tools. Broader vision: build true ecosystem of good, replicable, adaptable practices that could lead to ethical certification. For creative directors, studio owners, freelancers, and students tired of toxic industry practices, Lorenzo demonstrates how collective action through shared standards can foster healthier, more honest, more sustainable relationships. Because sometimes most rebellious act isn't breaking rules—it's creating better ones together.
