Jonas Lempa is Co-Owner and Managing Director Future & Innovation at Taikonauten, a Berlin-based digital innovation agency. As a long-time Awwwards Jury member and former President, Jonas brings a clear perspective on how teams create value during rapid technological change. He leads multidisciplinary teams and R&D initiatives exploring how emerging technologies can be used responsibly and meaningfully across society. Drawing on Taikonauten's work in finance, digital inclusion, automation, and health, Jonas invites designers, agencies, and product teams to rethink where human creativity and responsibility truly matter in an AI-accelerated world.

Designing Systems, Not Screens: Who is In Control Now

If Artificial Intelligence can design interfaces faster, cheaper, and better, what is left for humans to design? As execution accelerates, value moves upstream: toward framing the right problems, defining system boundaries, and setting ethical guardrails for what technology should do. Drawing on Taikonauten's work in finance, digital inclusion, automation, and health, Jonas explores why creating user interfaces is becoming easier to generate and harder to differentiate. He invites designers, agencies, and product teams to rethink where human creativity and responsibility truly matter. This is not an Anti-AI talk. Expect a clear point of view, practical lenses, and an open conversation about designing with intention.
